True bend geometry

Each step is solved with its centerline radius. Start, theoretical bend intersections, end point and true arc tangencies update immediately.

Manufacturability checks

Review the configured spacing, angle, hole-overlap and tube-length warnings in the Checks tab. Machine-collision checking is not included in this version.

Technical outputs

Generate a hollow STL for eligible designs, analytic STEP for a straight tube without holes or bends, and PDF plus XYZ/CSV outputs for valid designs. STL supports the verified UF-02 expanded socket plus fishmouth and angled endpoint cuts.

How does it work?

  1. Choose the tube and tooling

    Select material, outside diameter, wall thickness and centerline bend radius in Tube & tooling.

  2. Build the part sequence

    Start with Add straight or a quick template. Edit bends, holes and supported end treatments in the part sequence.

  3. Measure and check

    Use Measure in the 3D view, inspect reference coordinates in Dimensions and review design warnings in Checks.

  4. Download or share

    Download an eligible STL, STEP, PDF or XYZ/CSV file from Technical outputs. Use Share to copy a link to your design.

Quick answers about the Tube Designer

Which designs can be exported as STEP?

STEP is currently available only for a straight tube without holes or bends. For end forming, only the UF-02 expanded socket with constant nominal wall is supported; other end forms are out of scope.

Which designs can be exported as STL?

A hollow STL is available for straight or bent designs that pass the manufacturability checks. Fishmouth or angled cuts are supported at the ends; the constant-wall UF-02 expanded socket is supported on a hole-free straight tube. Cuts cannot be mixed with other end forms on one part.

How can I send feedback?

Can downloaded files go directly into production?
